Over the years we have travelled to all sorts of "exotic" places for adventures and we have been lucky enough to use some amazing tour operators to help us arrange... read more our trip, but none, and I mean none, come close to the quality of Ganga and his team and Nepal Hiking Team.
We originally started arranging this trip in 2019 for the Summer of 2020 but then COVID started and we had to postpone. I got in touch in late 2021 to pick things up and immediately Ganga told me that

This was our second trek with NHT and we highly recommend this company. The true test of how good a company is how they handle events when things... read more do not go according to plans – ie Lukla airport closed due weather. After waiting a couple of hours at Kathmandu Airport it looked very unlikely that flights would operate for the first day of our trek, so Ganga sorted a helicopter for us so we could start our trek as planned. Although this cost a bit more, it was a memorable experience, flying at low altitudes with incredible views but more importantly it allowed us to keep to our original trekking plan.
We had a fantastic trek and thoroughly recommend the Gokyo Lake/Renjo La trek for those that like the quieter trails. We were lucky enough to get the same guide we had on our first trek with NHT – Gokarna is fantastic and we are so impressed with his knowledge, understanding, care and humour. We also loved our porter Tilak – his smiling face and laughter during our card playing sessions was a delight and not to mention our gratitude to him for carrying our gear over a snowy slippery pass.
NHT are fantastic to trek with, we have complete confidence and trust in them knowing if anything goes go wrong we have the best company/team behind us to sort any issues.

We booked spots on a group tour and ended up being the only ones on that timeslot, so this more reflects a private trek experience! Regardless, our experience was fantastic... read more with NHT. Our guide Ram and porter Kud were professional and helpful, and made our trek easy and awesome. All the services that were in the trek outline were provided in full. If you are looking for an EBC trek where you have to worry about as little as possible leading up to it and just show up and enjoy the experience, this is really good value for your $.

Namaste! I highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team for your trekking adventure in the beautiful Himalayan Mountains of Nepal. This was my first trip to Nepal and additionally my first ever... read more muli-day trek. Annapurna Base Camp Trek became a dream of mine about a year ago after my adult son made a trip out back in 2019. Nepal Hiking Team made the trip much more enjoyable by facilitating rides to and from the airport in Kathmandu, answering any questions or concerns promptly and being courteous and helpful. Of course I have to give a shout out to my guide for the ABC trek Dipendra and also the porter Gakul!!! Dipendra did an exceptional job of making the trip as smooth as can be expected! In every village he booked me the best room available with mountain views, helped with ordering food and making sure I was comfortable. On the trail Dipendra carefully monitored my condition and frequently checked in with how I was feeling. As it turned out I was able to keep a pretty good pace (I'm a 56 year old man in decent shape) and we arrived at Annapurna Base Camp a day ahead of schedule (which was fortunate because clouds moved in the next day). Gakul was very strong and always made sure my duffle bag was in my room when we arrived in the next village. Dipendra and Gakul also made the evening time fun by inviting me to play card games in the tea house common area. If you get a chance learn the game Dumbal - it's fun! Dipendra also guided me in Pokhara where we saw the peace pagoda, Hindu temple caves and the International Mountaineering Museum. In conclusion, Ganga, Dipendra and Gakul with Nepal Hiking Team provided excellent service worth every dollar. I will definitely use their services again when I return. I'm already thinking about Everest Base Camp or Manaslu Circuit!

This is a great, professional Nepali company staffed by experts who are also kind and decent people. I live in Canada, and have yet to see any N. American outdoors... read more company that can meet NHT's standards.
My guide, Prakash ji, was superb. Knowedgeable and very patient with me (I'm a very slow hiker). My guide, Ngima ji, was equally fantastic and kind. The owner, Ganga ji, is professional and kind to the max.
For those who value social justice, it is worth noting that both the owner and my guide started out as porters. There are not too many countries where a (presumably economically poor) porter could one day start and own his own international standard company.
One last note of caution: I did the EBC "50+" trek. It is both fantastically beautiful and super tough. The "50+" trek itself is 16 days, but this is the same duration recommended (including for altitutude acclimitazation reasons) by Lonely Planet Guide for Nepal - which is defnitely oriented to a younger crowd. This is not a trek that you want to rush...

Great trip! Dhurba was a great guide too! Important to have someone who has done the trip several times before because even though there is a lot of tourism, it... read more still can be unstructured.
