We did the Mardi Himal Trek, which involved 5 days... read more of actual trekking, starting in Phedi to Pothana, Pothana to Forest Camp, Forest Camp to High Camp, High Camp up to the Mardi Himal View Point and back down to Low Camp, and Low Camp down to Sidhing Village. Prior to the trip, Ganga of NHT was extremely helpful and responsive to the numerous emails sent to him. I did not have to wait long before I received answers to all my queries. From the time we were met at the airport at the beginning of the trip and sent back to the airport at the journey's end, we were well taken care of. Raj, our guide during the trek was very accommodating and super friendly. He also took amazing photos. The porters who carried our bags have our gratitude, as they lessened our burden during the trek. We had an amazing trekking experience with an amazing team, and we shall remember this trek for the rest of our lives. Would definitely recommend!

Our tea houses were wonderful, and Thakal always managed to find me the most scenic rooms! Ganga, the CEO, met me in person twice, and was very friendly and attentive. I was so grateful to have this wonderful team waiting for me at the airport after chaotic travels! As a solo female traveler, I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect trip. From being met at the... read more airport to being led up the Manaslu circuit and rest days in Pokhara it was all seamless and stress free.
We were there 10 days after the unseasonal monsoon that had wiped out a lot of the paths and roads - so the guides had to be a bit flexible and were not totally sure of the state of trails we would find.
Our guide, Bijay, was very accommodating and helpful. He too answered our questions well with his knowledge of the English language. If he didn’t know the answer he’d find out. The whole team, including our amazing happy porters we’re keen to make the experience of Manaslu a great one for us. Extra blankets for the cold and the best possible accommodation in the various villages were forthcoming.
If I had any pointers - take plenty of snacks and water purification devices, be prepared for early mornings, and don’t be afraid to ask to ‘add to’ or detour slightly on the set trail.
The itinerary/ route we were initially provided with was not 100% accurate.
A completely wow trip . But not for you if you’re not a regular hiker in hills.
