The company chief Ganga was very attentive and responsive in getting "us off the ground". The guides Arjun and Gokul who I highly recommend were brilliant in all aspects. Highly knowledgeable, attentive, caring, motivating and fun at all times throughout the trek. It's due to them my friends and I have had a wholesome trekking experience of the Everest Base Camp. I highly recommend The Nepal Hiking Team and will be sure to use them again hopefully in the near future.

Nepal Hiking Team were easy to deal with, good value for money compared to others and excellent at regular communications. On the trek itself, Ishwor and the two porters couldn't have done more; they were polite, respectful, hard-working and always looked out for us. They joined in our card games too.

Our experience started in Kathmandu. Ballaram was personally to welcome us at the hotel and booked us in a very nice and confortable room at WoodApple Hotel which is close to the Kathmandu's main attractions. During the trek our guide (Surya) and our porter (Keshab) did all they could to provide us with the niciest accommodations and food during the trek. They were very professional regarding the aclimatization to the high altitude. We live in a sea level city and before our trek we were woried about high altitude sickness. Surya was very carefull on advising us to control our walking speed and hydration, plus they helped us with a lot of climb high and sleep low. The result is that my wife didn't had any simptoms of high altitude sickness (even in Thorong La Pass) and I had very litle headache that I'm not sure if it was due to altitude or due to the cold wind up in the pass. About the trek it were incredible, the weather were just perfect, there was a lot of blooming along the way and a thin cap of snow at the pass, which turned the landscapes even more beautifull. I can say it was one of the best vaccation of my life!

On the hike our... read more guide Dhurba made sure we were coping with the level of activity and the altitude every step of the way. Always caring and fun, he certainly improved the experience and got us where we needed to go. Assistant guide Rajesh, ever silent, was diligent in his work as well as our porters. Only hiccup was that we were unable to get flights to/from Kathmandu and Lukla so had to use a neighbouring airport instead, this did mean we got to see a bit more of the country though.
