Arjun was very attentive to our comfort and safety, both on and off the trek. Arjun blended in so well with our group and very quickly became friends rather than a guide. Gokul was very caring and supportive especially during harder parts of the trek. They were instrumental in helping me achieve my dream of getting to Base Camp of the world’s highest mountain. Unfortunately, I developed AMS that night after reaching base camp. Arjun stayed with me from 3am till a helivac had been organised to take me to KTM next morning. Ganga came to visit in hospital and also kept in touch about my recovery.
I highly recommend Nepal Hiking Team to anyone wanting to experience Nepal. To Ganga, Arjun and Gokul, as we say in Fiji - Vinaka vaka Levu!

Everything was extremely well organised. We were picked up at the airport, all accomodation pre-booked - nothing left to chance. When we couldn't complete the trek to ABC for a couple of reasons, our guide and NHT were able to change the itinerary to a new route and add a couple of nights in Pokhara at a very good hotel, which meant that we still had a great time in Nepal.

I would not hesitate to choose NHT for my next trip to Nepal.

Our guide was so knowledgeable about the area and was very organised with getting... read more us the best rooms in each spot ahead of time, giving us advice to cope with high altitude, cold and best foods to eat, brought crampons for us (which we definitely needed!) and even looked after some friends we made on the trek as well for the Thorong La crossing. He also gave us many insights into Buddhism and Hindu festivals and practices which we observed along the way. Tuk was also fabulous and was a welcome smiling face at the end of each day and great company overall. The company made sure we had very comfortable accommodation at the Woodapple Hotel as well on either end and in Pokhara.

If you are a fit and experienced hiker you might find it a little slow at first but it is all worth it when it means you can get over the pass easily later on.

  In the very busy time when most of the flights to Lukla run from Ramenchap, Ganga managed to get tickets for us from/to Kathmandu. We were visiting Chitwan NP and... read more Lumbini after our Everest Base Camp and had a very tight schedule so we were very grateful that we did not need to spend extra hours on bad roads to get to Ramenchap.

However, our flight back was cancelled due to maintenance issues of the airline. Then Ganga found another flight for us to Kathmandu with another airline with a slight delay of one hour from original schedule. We thought that the uncertainties are over but after landing got a call from Ganga - he already knew that the airline forgot our check-in luggage in Lukla. So he organized the transportation of our bags by helicopter. The bags even arrived on the same day, a few hours after us.

Amazing service! After our trip with Ganga I am sure if you book with Nepal Hiking Team you will get the best trip possible. As Ganga said: "I always deliver what I promise".

Needless to say our EBC trek was very well organised and we had absolutely no issues with whatsoever. Our guide Prakash was very young but very knowledgeable and experienced, spoke English very well, had a nice personality and tried to help us with whatever he could during the trek. He also suggested us to do Kala Patar with sunset instead of sunrise which was better because of the sun position. He kept the trek of time very well which was essential on the day when we visited both the base camp and Kala Patar. With his help we managed to get all 3 summits and also had a longer circuit walk on our acclimatization day in Namche Bazaar.

We did Chitwan NP also with Nepal Hiking Team and had a very nice driver. Also due to our troubles with airline we had to slightly change the schedule of these last days which was not a problem at all with Ganga. In Chitwan we had a very nice boat ride in the morning and safari in the afternoon. We had multiple encounters with rhinos during this safari, one of them was a very close one.

All in all we had a great vacation with Ganga and his team and without their help this trip would not have been possible on such a tight schedule. Highly recommended!!!
